All animals are cute when they are young, but once they are passed that cuteness stage, where do they usually go? To animal shelters, where many are euthanised. This problem is worse during xmas or special festive seasons, where animals eg bunnies, cats, dogs are bought as presents, and are abandoned soon after. Whenever, I go shopping, pet shops used to be the first place I would rush to, to see all the cute puppies in store. Yet now, it has become the place that I dread to enter the most. Yes, it brings joy to humans, but does anyone give a thought for the poor animals. Why do the animals come from? Puppy mills of course. www. wheredopuppiescomefrom.com.au , shows us the misery that animals faced. More people are becoming aware of this issue, and have decided to adopt, rather then buy, but some still thinks pets are a disposable asset when they are no longer wanted. Remember pets are not just for christmas, they are for life. Adopt , Save a life, they love you no more lesser than a puppy raised from birth, they'll love you even more. And of course not all petshop owners, are evil selfish human beings, some have even reduce or take out the selling of animals. But everyone can make a difference to stop puppy mills from operating. Stop buying pets from petshops.
Life is as dear to a mute creature as it is to man. Just as one wants happiness and fears pain, just as one wants to live and not die, so do other creatures.
The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them. That's the essence of inhumanity.
